Conveniently located in Wimberley, Texas, is Primitive Instincts Youth Nature Program. We are an immersive outdoor nature program for youth, teens, families, and adults. While following our passions of the outdoors, we create magical experiences in many ways surrounded by the beautiful Hill Country scenery.
Primitive Instincts YNP is incredibly unique, caring of our community, is inspired by children's passions, and fundamentally enriching. By combining ancestral knowledge of primitive, survival, and outdoor skills, along with modern resources, philosophies, and environmental sciences, we provide an exciting curriculum that we hope will allow for your child's passions to grow and most importantly, for the whole family to gain a strong relationship with nature.

In addition to, events such as time for community, community campouts, courses like how to make ink out of oak galls, and walks discussing native and edible plants, will be offered. These events will be available for the whole family and any adults interested. Event information will provided and updated continually!

Meet & Greets
Orientation Day: September 2, 2023

Orientation Day is a day to orient ourselves with the land, the expectations, the fun, and the learning that the kids will be able to experience at Primitive Instincts YNP.
Meet and greets are very similar. Meet and greets are more private and can be scheduled based on availability.
Make sure to be prepared for the weather!
If it is over 80 degrees, we'll go swimming in the refreshing saltwater pool.If it is rainy, we'll still meet and have an awesome time!

Weekly Homeschool Tribe
Open Ages (ages 5-14) on Fridays
*Private Group (ages 5-12) on Thursdays
Every week during the school year, kids and teens will get to experience and learn from the outdoors! We will emerge ourselves in primitive, survival, and awareness skills. In addition, there are numerous natural sciences we’ll study, which will include botany, ecology, conservation, hydrology, entomology, ornithology, land stewardship, and more! We will be inspired by the seasons, play games, know how to be a land steward, think like scientists, and become more comfortable outside by learning outdoor survival skills.
Tuition is per year.
Monthly payment plans are offered; terms & policies apply.
Courses are rain or shine.

Monthly Nature Quest Clan
Youth (ages 5-12) on Saturday
Kids will be able to go with the flow of nature and spend the day exploring what the outdoors has to offer. We will discuss our passions and discover how nature can fuel them. This program is great for everyone, from children who are just beginning to get acquainted with the outdoors to independent wilderness pros. From archery and fire building to studying details of our environment, kids will connect to nature and make wonderful life-long memories.
Tuition is per year.
Courses are rain or shine.

All events are open to the whole family or any adults interested in the subjects. Additionally, we will be offering community camp outs, connecting to nature courses, night hikes, as well as courses where we create using natural resources. These courses will involve outdoor, primitive, survival, and awareness skills, as well as fire building, knife carving and safety, and native and edible plant walks.
Any nature-related birthday could be scheduled, ages 4-adult!

Private Group Sessions
Contact us if your group, such as a church group or Boy/Girl Scouts troop, would like for us to come visit them or for your group to visit the land. Activities offered vary; including nature activities, knife carving, and fire building. By appointment only.
There is an option to have a PRIVATE weekly homeschool co-op group registered for the Fall/Spring 2023-2024 year.
